Job well and truly done!

November 2024

It started off as a bike ride from Weymouth to Brighton, but ended up becoming a 20-year mission, which was finally completed this year, around the time that both my cycling buddy Steve and I turned 50.

I began recording our travels on this website primarily for my own purposes, so that I wouldn't forget where we'd been – and for some of the earlier routes, twenty years on I surely would have done.

The site, and its predecessor Cheesenet, have also served as a real world project for me to practice web scripting technologies, from React and jQuery right back to Flash, and what they used to call DHTML – yes, that's how long it's been.

Now that our journey is finally complete, I hope that the resulting record of events is of interest to anyone visiting this site. Please explore the site and do let me know your thoughts at craig@craigbroadbent.com, until such time as I get around to adding a comments facility.

Thanks for visiting!
